Position Summary
Engaging college alumni is critical to building successful community connections, industry collaboration, and growing funds to support students and programming. The Alumni Engagement Specialist creates engaged community advocates, volunteers, and donors. A high-performing member of the MCC Institutional Advancement team, the Alumni Engagement Specialist works to develop relationship management plans and events that identify and cultivate alumni in meaningful ways. This energetic and organized individual ultimately identifies activities and programs / events to specifically increase alumni engagement. This position also serves as a key liaison with the MCC Alumni Association.

McHenry County College provides part-time employees a competitive bank of vacation, sick, and personal leave time along with an optional Sick Leave Pool; part-time employees who work at least twenty (20) hours a week also receive up to 15 paid holidays depending on their work schedule. The College also offers employees the opportunity to save for retirement through deferred compensation plans. Part time employees who work at least twenty (20) hours per week are eligible to receive a tuition waiver for up to nine (9) credit hours for courses taken at MCC. In addition, the College also provides tuition reimbursement for pre-approved course work taken at a regionally accredited institution upon successful completion of such course.
