Job descriptionPosition Overview Keep our communities fed. Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Cross Dock, you will use an electric pallet jack to load, unload and move materials onto trucks for shipment out of a warehouse facility. In this role, you will ensure there is flow of pallets from the staging area to the correct doors, and ensure load quality. Job Description Text “CS” to 32543 to learn more about how you can become a part of our legacy. $18 + .75 (Night shift differential) + 2nd shift, FT, 7 : 00 p.m. until completion, Sun-Thur, 5 days on / 2 days off (Saturday off) + 15515 Woodham Drive. Houston, Texas, 77073 You will contribute by : Operate an electric riding pallet jack. + Assist in unloading cross dock trailers. + Ensure the flow of pallets from the staging area to their appropriate doors is being accomplished. + Load, unload, and move materials onto trucks for shipment out of warehouse facility. + Monitor pallet construction and ensure load quality. + Prioritize work within your assigned zone. + Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. + Travel Required : No We offer : Paid training provided + Weekly Pay + Benefits available from day 1 (medical, dental, vision, company matched 401k) + PTO and Holiday Pay offered + In certain locations C&S offers $100 towards the purchase of safety shoes + Career Progression Opportunities + Tuition Reimbursement + Employee Health & Wellness program + Employee Discounts / Purchasing programs + Employee Assistance Program Your work environment may include : Grocery (dry goods) – about 50°- 90° We’re searching for candidates with : Physical abilities : : Safely and efficiently move product weighing up to 60 lbs.
