Recreation Center Manager

Work Location : Middle River Corps - Baltimore, MD

Work Schedule : Full-time

This position is responsible for :

• Planning, coordinating, directing, evaluating, and managing the overall daily operations of the designated Center, with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, program safety, community relations, and youth membership administration.
• Managing the delivery and supervision of a variety of youth programs within a specific center.
• Supervising a team of Program Instructors ensuring compliance with operational, program and safety standards.
• Coordinating services with local schools, referral sources, and students.
• Representing the Center in the community and building a professional and positive image of The Salvation Army.
• May be required to transport youth center members and staff to / from center and approved activities and events.
• Serving as a liaison with Corps programming staff to identify and incorporate mission alignment and outcomes.
• Participating in the Salvation Army's ministry advancement by collaborating with the Salvation Army Officers to ensure Red Shield Youth Centers provide an engaging, enriching and empowering environment where youth develop Christ-like character, preparing them to become tomorrow's leaders.
