Job description

Cross Country Locums is seeking, Hospitalist to assist with coverage starting in July, in Waterloo, IA. Please review the details below.

Desired Shift : 7a 7p

Requirements :

  • Board Certified IM, Board Certified FM with Hosp experience, or Truly Board Eligible (0-3 years from residency) - Required
  • Active IA license or IMLC - Required
  • ACLS - Required to obtain before starting
  • COVID vaccine - Required

Scope of Service :

  • Hours are 7am - 7pm (12 hours; required to stay on-site for entire shift)
  • Practice setting : Inpatient, round in ICU (intensivist on staff but not on-site 24 hours), admitting
  • Do not have APPs - no APP support and will not have to supervise
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day : 15-21 patients total including consults, admits, ICU, inpatient, discharges
  • Locums will respond to in-house codes
  • Areas of Rounding Med surgical, ICU, post-op
  • 12 bed ICU
  • EMR : Cerner
  • Level III trauma center
  • Required procedures : non-invasive vent management (bipap / cpap)
  • Patient population : Adult, surgery, medicine
