Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Assembler at our Lynnwood, WA location. Hours are M-F 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm.

Job Summary :

The Electronics Assembler works proficiently and independently with limited supervisor performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military and / or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and / or written instructions. In addition, Electronics Assembler communicates with the manufacturing team and performs visual and dimensional inspection.

Essential Functions :

\n

  • Perform assigned assembly tasks

\n

  • Prepare components prior to assembly, clean components, mark, and inspect components, sub-assemblies, or completed assemblies
  • \n

  • Test finished assemblies
  • \n

  • Set up and operate assigned equipment and machinery
  • \n

  • Observe proper health and safety procedures in handling hazardous chemicals
  • \n

  • Train and mentor new employees and other team members in new processes, procedures and Crane tools
  • \n

  • Prioritize daily demand per Master Schedule Report for the cell(s) they are working in
  • \n

  • Discuss and problem solve quality issues with Manufacturing Engineers, the Quality group, and leadership
  • \n

  • Create work orders, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality and material issues, and First Article Inspection's (FAIs) at "In process / End Item" as well as other assorted assembly functions
  • \n

  • Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy; Proactively identify safety concerns or issues and work with the Engineering group to implement solutions
  • \n

  • Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvement
  • \n

  • Cross-train to work on at least 4 products
  • \n

  • Complete job-related company training courses
  • \n

  • Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPI's, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they arise
  • \n

  • Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary
  • \n

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
  • \n \n

    Non-Essential Functions :

    \n

  • Understand and / or participate with internal / external audits
  • \n

  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • \n

  • May be required to repair / rework defective or returned assemblies
  • \n \n

    Minimum Qualifications :

    \n

  • Experience : 1+ year of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. Soldering experience required
  • \n

  • Knowledge : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • \n

  • Skills : Strong verbal and written communication; Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; Basic computer skills (understanding of basic software)
  • \n

  • Abilities : Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required; Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity; Adept hand-eye coordination and arm-hand steadiness; Ability to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams; Ability to work well in high paced work environment in a high volume setting
  • \n

  • Education / Certification : High School diploma or equivalent; Fine soldering certificate or equivalent experience
  • \n

  • \n Eligibility Requirement : This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • \n \n

    Preferred Qualifications :

    \n

  • Ability to coach and mentor as well as have input into employment process
  • \n

  • Ability to do part marking, wrapping and packaging finished goods and transport to other work areas
  • \n

  • Ability to ensure all paperwork is completed appropriately and close work orders
  • \n

  • Ability to perceive and pre-determine sequence of operations and installation requirements from sketches and oral instructions
  • \n

  • Experience maintaining equipment on a stringent calibration schedule
  • \n

  • IPC solder rework certification
  • \n

  • Designated Inspection certification
  • \n \n

    Working Conditions : \n

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • \n

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment (Personal Protective Equipment) to include but not limited to : eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel / wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • \n

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • \n

  • Standing : 25%

    Top Benefits : Salary range :

    L evel II : $22.00 - $27.24

    Level III : $ 25.41 - $32.55

    Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
