Custodian Facilities Services

This position performs manual custodial work to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all facilities within the regional campus, including residence halls and administrative buildings. Key responsibilities include floor care (sweeping, mopping, waxing), restroom and common area sanitation, and equipment maintenance. This role is essential for creating a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors, and supports the overall operational success of the campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and polish floors using industrial floor machines.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets in offices, classrooms, halls, and public areas.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, showers, locker rooms, and other common areas.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, doors, whiteboards, and other surfaces.
• Wash windows, window sills, walls, blinds, ceiling lights, and HVAC vents.
• Move and set up furniture and equipment for campus events and external rentals.
• Collect, replace, and dispose of trash and recycling materials.
• Maintain, adjust, and repair custodial equipment including vacuums, scrubbers, and carpet machines.
• Report maintenance or repair needs; perform minor unclogging of sinks, toilets, and drains.
• Remove snow from steps, entrances, and walkways; apply anti-skid materials as needed.
• Receive and unload delivery trucks.
• Follow campus safety protocols and all institutional policies.
