Purpose of the Job : The Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct comprehensive training and development programs for employees. Primary training focus will be Business Development / Sales. This role will also facilitate new hire training and support leaders in effectively coaching their new staff to enhance their performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with management.
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
- Delivers company training programs and workshops to employees and managers.
- Monitors the effectiveness of training on employees using individual or group performance results.
- Develops and creates lesson plans and training aids.
- Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Creates and / or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
- Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback to use for future improvements to content and presentation.
- Spearheads and participates in continuous improvement strategy sessions for new training program design and existing program enhancements.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- May specialize in a particular subject, training program, or function of the company. Training programs may typically include topics such as sales, supervisory / management training, job skills training, team building, and communications. Serve as a backup for Operations training, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong presentation skills.Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.Ability to design and implement effective training and development.Self-motivated and energetic.Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.Regular attendance required.Education and / or Experience :
Minimum Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree in HR, Training and Development, or a related field preferred.1-3 years related experience / or a combination of education and experience required.Sales Experience.Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with CRM systems and Sales analytic tools.Experience with e-learning platforms and instructional design.Sales training and coaching experience.What's in it for You?
