Sales And Production Associate

The Sales And Production Associate will be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. They will maintain order, create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment, and maintain good customer relationships.

General Responsibilities

Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintaining positive customer relationships.

Assist, as required, with store operations.

Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.

Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.

Handle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.

Ensure that store is sufficiently stocked and "ragged out" in accordance with the rag out calendar.

Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.

Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.

Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.

Be well-versed in and comply with Guide To Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations manual as it pertains to this position.

This position will support community service and volunteers by providing an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).

Other duties may be assigned by immediate supervisor, Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and / or Corps Officer.

Depending on store size, staffing levels, and production needs, you may be asked to perform any or all the following :

• Cashier / Sales Floor

Comply with all cash handling and security standards as relates to cash register operations, daily sales reports and bank deposits

Sort minimum of 300 store quality garments an hour by department

Hang and ticket a minimum of 225 pieces per hour of clothing on rolling racks from sorting table by department on the correct hanger type, and by category

Price a minimum of 250 garments an hour using a wide range of prices determined by the style, quality, and condition of each piece

Place a minimum of 225 garments an hour from the production room to the sales floor on the proper rack by department, category, and color order

Sort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations daily

Sort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags, and accessory donations daily

Sort and measure all saleable linen items daily as required

Sort and clean all saleable merchandise daily as required

Sort, clean and test all electrical and furniture donations as required

Maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor (dusting shelves & sweeping floor), bathrooms, entry, window sidewalks, and parking areas daily
