The Food Service Worker / Cashier plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced food service environment. This position is responsible for efficiently handling customer transactions, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role requires attentiveness to customer needs, accuracy in cash handling, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. By ensuring a positive dining experience, the Food Service Worker / Cashier contributes directly to customer satisfaction and repeat business. Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in food service or cashier roles.
  • Food handler’s permit or certification in food safety.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide correct change.
  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food preparation and dining areas.
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure continuous service.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels to supervisors.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries and resolve any issues.

    The required skills such as effective communication and basic math are essential for accurately taking orders and processing payments, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
