General Information / Job Summary

The DOT Truck Drivers will transport heavy equipment (forklifts, boom lifts, dozers, blades, and excavators) to and from locations, in and around major areas of oil and gas industry facilities.

Responsibilities / Competencies

• Transport equipment or material to customer locations using a variety of different trailers. (Floats, step decks, lowboys, van trailer, etc.).
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and fellow employees.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work / rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel / toll receipts. Maintaining paperwork is a must.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as Saulsbury's policies and procedures.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations.
• Other duties as assigned.
