Gas Sales Portfolio Optimization Specialist

This position's primary responsibilities include the ability to nominate physical volumes on several interstate and midstream pipelines and to collaborate with the marketing team to optimize the gas sales portfolio. This position also handles mid-office requirements to ensure proper invoicing of gas sales and purchases. Additional responsibilities include tracking tariffs, pipeline and regulatory notices and filings.

Target Responsibilities

• Schedule daily and confirm flows on pipeline EBB systems and into the EMK3 Gas Marketing system.
• Gain knowledge and understanding of the regional gas pipeline system flows and interconnectivity to optimize gas sales.
• Communicate daily with CNX midstream and gas operations to coordinate the daily gas nominations.
• Develop operational expertise with respect to a single pipeline including tariff provisions, EBB system operation, sources of CNX supply, potential customers and available 3rd party supply. Prepare reports as assigned, assist in back-office invoice reconciliation, and enter transactions into EMK3 Gas Marketing system.
• Assist in the month end closing revenue and volume process.
• Prepare daily position reports for traders, including recommendations based on real-time pipeline operations and market conditions.
• Pipeline imbalance monitoring and mitigation.
• Monitor pipeline maintenance activities and communicate to key personnel.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relating to gas scheduling and transportation to ensure efficient and reliable gas transportation services.
• Handle capacity releases on various pipelines within the FERC issued rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with our JV partners on gas taken in-kind.
