Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
Responsibilities
Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans.Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis by collaborating with patients and the Interdisciplinary team.Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and manage direct patient care using the nursing process.Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.Communicate pertinent patient information and changes in status effectively to support continuity of care.Provide direction, training, and supervision of auxiliary nursing personnel.Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.Contribute positively to the unit environment and participate in team-building activities.Maintain communication regarding service needs, supplies, and equipment.Assume charge responsibility as requested after orientation period.Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.Prioritize activities to meet patient needs effectively.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
BLS Certification required prior to first shift.ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific facility requirement).Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.Why ARMStaffing?
