Job Title : Travel Contract – Cardiovascular Technician

N umber of positions : 1

Years of experience :   One to three years

Shift : Day shifts– 40 hours

Duration :  13 weeks

Start Date : Varies

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department : Cath Labs Anc

Shift Timings : Morning 07 : 30 - 18 : 00 Hours Monday to Friday (4 Days / 10 Hours)

Per Week : 40 Hours

4 (10) hour shifts 1-2 call shifts per week, 1 weekend per month ARRT / RCIS / RT / R

Responsibilities

Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.

Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.

Prepare, implement and document plan of care.

Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.

Perform and / or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.

Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

Qualifications

BLS and ACLS

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

The ability to stand for extended periods.

Strong technical skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Passionate about patient care

Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiovascular Tech experience.

Graduate from a fully accredited Cardiovascular Tech / Radiology Tech program

Active unencumbered Connecticut Cardiovascular Tech state license

One year of Cerner experience

ARRT Certification

Requirements

  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.

Participates in relevant continuing education programs.

Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
