- The shift hours are 10 : 30am -7 : 00pm.
- The payrate is $14.00 per hour.
- The work schedule is five days a week to include every other weekend.
Job Purpose
The Dining Room Wait Staff is a vital member of the senior living community team and is responsible for providing a high-quality, safe, and respectful dining experience for our residents. This role is more than just serving food; it requires patience, empathy, and a positive attitude to create a warm, consistent, and social atmosphere that enhances the residents' daily lives and overall quality of life.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for various prep work as assigned by Management.Responsible for efficiently and proficiently serving residents in the dining room during meal service times.Perform simple prep tasks such as making salads, plating dessert, cutting fruit, etc. as assigned by Management.Responsible for maintaining proper food safety and handling techniques per applicable food code and HACCP standards.Responsible for following and enforcing proper safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Conduct duties in an orderly and professional manner and to standards of Southern Foodservice code of conduct.Attend pre-service meeting with Sous Chef / Chef to discuss daily menus and specials.Set dining room according to standards set by management.Welcome residents with a warm smile and provide assistance as needed.Take drink, meal, dessert orders for each resident by speaking clearly and repeating the order and provide them with information on daily specials.Serve residents according to their orders and ensure to each resident has the correct order and are satisfied with their meal.Cleaning Assignment
Must maintain cleanliness and appearance of service line and areas during meal periods wiping up spills and maintaining a clean and neat appearance.Clear service lines and thoroughly clean service lines and areas after meal service.Perform other cleaning tasks assigned by Management.Other Duties and Tasks
All staff members are also responsible for other duties or tasks that are assigned by the Assistant Managers or Supervisors, as a part of any “Job” or “Position” assigned during a normal work schedule. Team members may be assigned to support the meal production, service and cleaning after the meal or the dining facility.#INDSJ
