Contractor Projects Coordinator
The Contractor Projects Coordinator coordinates the use of contractors throughout the plant.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities include :
- Develops and executes plans to accomplish construction / maintenance work
- Assists in budget preparation and monitors budget compliance
- Monitors activities and initiates actions that support the accomplishment of the work
- Provides appropriate technical guidance to accomplish the work
- Plans a job, assembles a team, and ensures the plan is effectively implemented
- Communicates information relative to the accomplishment of the work
- Collects and analyzes data to create documents, including reports, memos, graphs, charts, tables, etc.
- Provides feedback relative to the results of task accomplishments into the development of new plans
- Coordinates interfaces between various work groups
- Gains cooperation and action from people not under employee's direct control
- Reviews and provides input on changes in the original work plan
- Initiates / participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility
- Ensures Company resources are used in a cost-effective manner
- Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensure regulatory compliance
- Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them
- May be required to direct the work activities of others
- Ensures work performed by external service providers is in support of objectives, responsibilities, and contractual agreements
- Ensures constructability process for specific projects, as appropriate
- Approves external service providers expenditures, as required
- Coordinates with Operations and Maintenance to prioritize work activities
Working Conditions include :

Minimum of high school or equivalent (GED) education and 5 years of Construction Management and / or Contractor Coordination in a related fieldValid Driver's LicenseBasic understanding of the power plant processes, systems, assets, resources, key personnel, and business functionsPreferred Qualifications include :
Basic knowledge of the Collective Bargaining AgreementKnowledge of power plant systems and operation consistent with level of responsibilityBilingual (Spanish / English)Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include :
