Lead Telecommunications Operator
Serves as the lead operator to the Fox Chase Telecommunications staff and is responsible for day-to-day support of the department and Supervisor. The lead is responsible for handling escalations or calls from physicians, employees, office staff, patients, or families or service failure. In addition, the lead is responsible for assisting staff in solving complex calls, departmental issues, and technical issues. Conducts monthly quality assurance monitoring and coaching on each operator and ensures data quality by reviewing protocols and procedures. Ensures timely and accurate completion of assignments and tasks that are delegated. Conducts new staff training / orientation and ongoing staff development. Also participates in call handling and serves as an initial point of contact for patients and internal physicians. Assists with coordination of employee work schedules. Insures appropriate access to the Temple / Fox Chase Health System for patients, physicians, programs, and services.
Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Experience : 1 year experience in managed care and / or hospital environment (Required) General Experience with call management software and / or other scheduling applications (Required)
