Description
Position Summary : These general functions will be carried out in keeping with the Goals, Mission and Policies of the YMCA of the East Bay. The Operations Specialist delivers flexible and effective service to the field by assisting with monitoring, follow up, administrative, and on-site supports. The Operations Specialist supports short and long-term projects and activities that ensure operations run smoothly each day.
Essential Functions :
- Support operations Director / Managers, as directed, with completion of on-going licensing paperwork including applications, forms, reporting, and appeals.
- Schedule, arrange and support operations related trainings, meetings / appointments and organize staff meeting agendas, materials, and documentation.
- Assist with operations related monitoring and follow up including active supervision, licensing, staffing vs. enrollment, and health / safety.
- Participate with the ECI team in interviews for prospective teachers, and with new teacher placement.
- Coordinate with ECI team to support effective on-boarding for new teachers, including direct on-site support, check-ins with new staff, support for professional development plans and monitoring of benchmarks.
- Attend webinars and trainings to obtain current updates and disseminate information regarding new / changed regulations from CCL, CDSS, CDS and OHS.
- Support with operations related communication, including phone calls, emails, letters, and memos.
- Support operations team with parent outreach and meetings, as needed.
- Support with organization for large scale distributions to centers, as needed.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Measure Of Effectiveness : This position has a primary impact on the operations of the YMCA East Bay Early Childhood Impact Program. Therefore, the effectiveness of the fulfillment of this position should be measured by :

Required : High School Diploma or GEDPreferred : Associate's degree in business administration, Early Childhood education, or related fieldCurrent Site Supervisor Level permit or above preferred.Two years' experience as an ECE teacher and / or administrator / leaderStrong written and verbal communication skillsValid California Driver's License / proof of auto insurance / annual DMV check requiredCriminal record clearance and health requirements that include physical exam, TB screen and immunizationsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, databases and other computer programsEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
