Job Summary / Description :

WECT is looking for a driven, creative news producer who works well with a team of talented professionals to create compelling newscasts. Excellent news judgment, superb writing skills, and a knack for showcasing stories for the viewer are key. We are looking for a self-starter who has creative writing skills and can handle deadlines while juggling planning, producing and occasional digital responsibilities.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Produce live newscasts daily
• Select stories and determine story order
• Write broadcast and digital scripts
• Communicate with anchors, assignment desk, reporters, photographers, editors and others to ensure execution of a high-quality newscast
