Job descriptionExcellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English Minimum of 1 year related experience preferred. Technical skills required for patient care. Good verbal and written communication skills. Certified as a Nursing Home Nurse Aide by the NYS DOH (CNA). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Frequent, prolonged standing / walking Lifts, positions and / or transfers patients / equipment Protective clothing / equipment worn (face shields, gloves, impermeable gown, particulate respirator)
Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary :
Utilizing Excellent Customer Service skills, The CNA assists the Registered Nurse in delivery of high-quality patient care in the Transitional Care Unit. Collects and records clinical patient data, obtains specimens. Takes vital signs and assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Documents patient activity in EMR.
Qualifications
Responsibilities : Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND :
- Successful completion of an approved 120-hour Nurse Aide training program
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the population served.
