Inventory Coordinator
The Inventory Coordinator serves as a critical link in supporting the delivery of maintenance and field services within the Solutions Division by ensuring effective inventory management, precise order fulfillment, and seamless vendor coordination. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, purchasing, shipping and receiving, and continuous process improvement to uphold Remprex's commitment to world-class service. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include :
- Provide strategic oversight for all shipping and receiving operations, ensuring materials are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational timelines.
- Establish and monitor standards for pre-configuration, packaging, and preparation of parts prior to outbound shipments.
- Oversee the processing of inbound shipments and corresponding purchase orders within NetSuite, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures to verify order accuracy prior to shipment and to fulfill internal ticket requests.
- Directly manage the return merchandise authorizations (RMAs), ensuring proper documentation, root cause analysis, and compliance with vendor-specific requirements.
- Design, implement, and manage advanced inventory processes within NetSuite Inventory Management and Field Service Modules to optimize operational efficiency.
- Analyze inventory performance across HQ and remote locations to determine appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels, reducing shortages and excess inventory.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and refining inventory and fulfillment workflows to enhance accuracy and reduce costs.
- Oversee the establishment and maintenance of labeling, storage, and tracking systems to ensure organization-wide inventory integrity.
- Lead monthly inventory reconciliation activities and ensure accurate reporting to support financial and operational objectives.
- Oversee the creation, review, and approval of purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and budgetary controls.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate terms to support strategic purchasing decisions and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Maintain ongoing communication with vendors and internal stakeholders to anticipate needs, resolve discrepancies, and align procurement with inventory forecasts.
- Manage procurement operations through NetSuite, ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to manage and resolve ticket queues related to shipping, receiving, and inventory (SNR) categories.
- Partner with Accounting, Tech Support, and Field Service teams to review invoices, shipment discrepancies, and process improvements.
- Represent the department in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on inventory, procurement, and fulfillment strategies.
- Develop and implement process documentation, KPIs, and reporting tools to improve visibility and performance across operations.
Required qualifications include :
2+ years of experience in inventory management, logistics or fulfillment operations.Associates degree in a related field and / or technical education / equivalent work experience in electronics or computers.Strong organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory or ERP systems.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.Customer focused approach with dedication to service excellence.Preferred qualifications include :
Experience with NetSuite.Prior knowledge or familiarity with Remprex GMS (Global Monitoring System), FSM (Field Service Manager), AGS operations and components.This role is 100% on site, based out of our corporate location in Lisle, IL.
