About the role Chess Team :

The Chess team builds engaging, educational features through Duolingos signature approach to learning. On this team, you will shape core product experiences by improving gameplay and creating engaging, high-quality course content. As an engineer building Duolingo's newest product, you can expect to move quickly, prototype boldly, and experiment often

• Collaborate on software projects with product design and backend aspects
• Develop, release, and maintain native Android application features in Kotlin
• Mentor and set technical direction for junior engineers on the team

We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.

This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.

Salary Range : $177,700 $300,000 USD
