We're looking for an exceptional Yard Operations Lead to oversee inbound, outbound, and inventory activities for our outdoor storage accounts.bThis role is 100% outdoors and requires someone with a strong construction, yard, or materials-handling background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in precision.

What You'll Do Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments for a high-volume decking program; ensure 100% order accuracy and on-time performance.

Perform yard-based loading and unloading of heavy materials using appropriate equipment (forklift, telehandler, etc.).

Stage outbound orders with precise attention to lengths, cuts, bundle types, and customer-specific requirements.

Conduct daily yard walks to ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of materials.

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient outdoor work environment.

Serve as the operational point of contact for your assigned client; build trust through reliability and attention to detail.

Coordinate with Porter’s warehouse teams, office staff, and transportation partners to ensure seamless operations.

Lead by example—model Porter’s values and set operational standards for yard performance.

Maintain meticulous documentation and update internal systems as required.

What You Need Experience 3+ years in a construction, materials yard, outdoor warehouse, or foreman-style role.

Strong background handling large, heavy, or specialty materials (lumber, decking, steel, roofing, building materials, etc.).

Forklift Certification (sit down experience required, stand up experience preferred) Prior leadership or lead-level responsibility required.

Skills & Attributes Extremely organized and detail-oriented—able to prevent mistakes before they happen.

Strong communicator who can work directly with vendors, drivers, and internal teams.
