Responsibilities :
- Greet patients and initiate the registration process in a professional and friendly manner.
- Collect and accurately record payments at the point of service.
- Verify insurance coverage and identify financial resources for patients.
- Obtain and process necessary documentation for billing and compliance.
- Handle routine patient concerns and service recovery, escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Maintain communication with staff, physicians, patients, and guests via phone, email, or in person.
- Meet individual productivity goals and performance metrics as assigned by department leadership.
- Support all operational areas within Patient Access Services.
Job Requirements :
High school diploma or GED equivalent.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Ability to engage effectively with people at all organizational levels.Proficiency with computers and software related to administrative healthcare functions.Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare insurance programs (e.g., Medicare, Medi-Cal, Workers Comp, HMO, PPO, POS, CCS, GHPP, Healthy Families).
