Job descriptionDeliver first aid and refer employees to outside medical providers when needed Promote injury prevention through education, awareness, and daily engagement Maintain detailed records of care and injury management Support the workers' compensation and return-to-work programs Document daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports Provide coaching on safe work habits observed on the operations floor Maintain a clean work environment and ensure sufficient medical supplies Participate in CPR / AED / First Aid training and maintain all certifications Assist with saliva drug testing protocols High School diploma or equivalent Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an ECC-approved provider One of the following : EMT or Paramedic Certification (State or NREMT) 6+ months of recent military medical experience (e.g., Combat Medic, Hospital Corpsman) Current Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or equivalent state cert.) Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED (AHA or Red Cross) Experience in industrial wellness or occupational health programs Knowledge of musculoskeletal injury prevention and ergonomic coaching Familiarity with OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation processes Skilled in digital record-keeping and documentation Proficient in Microsoft Office
A Utah-based services organization is looking to add an Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT) to join their growing Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team. In this role, the EMT will provide first aid care, health guidance, and injury prevention support in an occupational health setting. This is a high-impact role that involves regular interaction with employees, participation in safety committee meetings, and engagement in weekly case reviews.
