Programmer Analyst
Position Summary
The Program Analyst is responsible for programming / writing Cerner CCL code based on defined requirements and assists in testing of same. The Program Analyst will work on issues as reported and as part of project teams. The Program Analyst will work closely with hospital and clinical staff. Represents all CCL developed applications, reports and extracts. Educates customers on the design logic for the custom developed applications. Will develop, implement and standardize coding documentation, appropriate testing techniques, structured troubleshooting techniques and quality assurance processes.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates experience using the programming languages, packages and software development tools
- Performs tasks associated with application design and development, coding, fixes, testing, maintenance and support
- Evaluates critical business processes and defines client requirements
- Maintains strong verbal and written communication skills that nontechnical end users can understand
- Works effectively independently or with a team
- Evaluates and analyzes software packages, system productivity tools and utilities
- Creates a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a computer related field.Working knowledge of programming languages and database design.Strong Cerner user with a desire to understand how to build and maintain SMC Cerner application.Advanced Computer Skill LevelElectronic Medical Record ExperienceSalary Range : $50,000 - $80,000 annually (based on experience)
