Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail? We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Plant Controller to join our team. This is a pivotal role that will oversee all financial aspects of our plant operations, including financial reporting, cost savings, forecasting, and internal controls. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team in the legal industry, where your contributions will directly impact the company's financial health and strategic direction.

Responsibilities :

As a Plant Controller, you will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities that are crucial to our financial operations. These include :

1. Overseeing all plant accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.

2. Ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

3. Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.

4. Protecting assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

5. Monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.

6. Maximizing return and limiting risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments.

7. Preparing budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.

8. Achieving budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

9. Providing financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

10. Continually improving the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications :

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.

2. A minimum of 6 years of experience in Finance and / or Accounting, preferably in a Plant Accountant role with a manufacturing company that uses standard costing.

3. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

4. Proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion Planning is preferred.

5. Previous experience in an accounting firm is an advantage.

6. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, cost savings, balance sheet management, GAAP, Financial Planning, Audit, Internal Controls, and Variance Analysis.

7. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

9. Strong knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their application in a manufacturing environment.

10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
