JOB SUMMARY

As a part of the management team, the Registered Dietitian will support the health and performance of VMI’s Corp of cadets through individualized nutrition counseling, group education, and wellness programming. This position reports to the General Manager and is a key member of the campus community, working in close partnership with dining services, athletics, and health services to deliver impactful, student-centered nutrition initiatives. Performs related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Wellness & Counseling – 40%

• Provide one-on-one nutritional assessment and counseling for cadets, addressing topics such as chronic disease management, weight management, food allergies and intolerances, performance goals, and disordered eating.
• Track progress and develop personalized nutrition plans in alignment with cadet goals.
• Provide group education for student organizations, athletic teams, and wellness events.
• Coordinate wellness table events in partnership with dining services, health services, and athletics.

Athletic Nutrition Support – 40%

Dining Services & Program Support – 20%
