Medical Surgical PCA II
We are seeking a Medical Surgical PCA II also referred to Patient Care Assistant or Med-Surg PCA II. A Med Surg PCA II will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med Surg PCA II will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to) :
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toiletingHelp with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake / outputTake and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient's condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RNStock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safeAssist in transporting patients within the hospitalQualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferredCurrent Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.)Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferredCurrent BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain currentSix months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferredCurrent Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferredCurrent EKG certification upon hire, preferredPossesses knowledge of Medical TerminologyMinimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferredEmployment Status
