Job Title : Underground Utilities Locator - OSP Fiber Projects (Contract-to-Hire)

Location : Columbus, OH and surrounding areas

Overview :

We're hiring Underground Utilities Locators to support underground fiber optic infrastructure projects connecting to data centers across the Columbus area. This is a field-based role ideal for individuals with experience in utility locating, underground construction, or inspection work. You'll be responsible for ensuring vendor work meets quality and safety standards through pre- and post-construction site surveys.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct pre-construction site walks to assess conditions and readiness for underground fiber placement
• Perform post-construction inspections to verify vendor work aligns with project specs and safety protocols
• Capture detailed documentation including photos, notes, and inspection reports
• Communicate findings to project teams and escalate issues when necessary
• Travel daily to job sites using a company-provided vehicle

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr.
