Director of Religious Education

First Baptist Church of Burlington announces an opening for a flexible 15 hour a week position, Director of Religious Education and Family Ministries.

• Job Purpose :
• To oversee and support Christian Education programs for children and youth.
• Qualifications :

Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred

Relevant experience preferred in Christian Education, Youth ministry, Social Work or a related field of community service

Experience working in a multicultural environment

A vital Christian faith life evidenced by action, attitude and behavior

Strong communication abilities including writing and computer skills and use of social media

Ability to work as part of a team

Self-starter with ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative and follow through

Coordinate the Church School program including training and supporting teachers, acting as a substitute teacher if needed, ordering curriculum and supplies and organizing classrooms and supplies

Help to plan and execute social fellowship events in the church calendar

Communicate with our multi cultural communities about programming needs and encourage participation in joint activities and ministries

Pay : Up to $25.00 per hour
