Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement

    • \n

  • Must have 2 years of experience in hospital setting

    • \n

  • Active Kentucky nursing license required at submission

    • \n

  • Patient ratios of 4 : 1 or 5 : 1 on 46-bed unit

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, and current NIH (must be certified annually)

    • \n

  • Must have telemetry and EKG interpretation skills

    • \n

  • Experience required with post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention procedures

    • \n

  • Must be proficient in cardiac and anti-arrhythmic IV infusions management and titration

    • \n

  • CPap and BiPap management experience required

    • \n

  • Port access and therapeutic phlebotomy skills needed

    • \n

  • Advanced skills preferred : chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions

    • \n

  • May float to 3 South (post-surgical med / surg) or PCU for tele overflow

    • \n

  • Equipment includes GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer

    • \n

  • Documentation system : Meditech Expanse

    • \n

  • Dress code : Navy blue or Gray scrubs only, no royal blue scrubs permitted

    • \n

  • Unit performs telemetry monitoring, paracentesis, BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures
