About The Position

Job Title : Ortho RN

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 1 year required

License : Must have active IL license

Certifications : BLS required, ACLS preferred

Must-Have : Telemetry experience preferred. Required IV therapy / Phlebotomy Skills / Experience : PICC Line Management, Starting IVs. Cerner experience preferred. Previous travel experience is preferred.

Description :

Position for an Ortho RN.

Shift patterns available : 4x12 or 3x12 Nights.

Unit comprises 38 beds.

Weekend requirement : Every other weekend.

Floating may occur within Med Surg departments as needed.

Candidate must have active IL license upon application.

Preferred skills include telemetry and IV therapy.

Experience with Cerner is desirable.

Responsibilities include care for orthopedic elective surgeries, trauma patients, and general management of orthopedic cases.

Special procedures include traction, bedside debridement, and complex dressing changes.

Special equipment includes slings, walkers, canes, traction, IV pumps, and vital sign monitors.

Candidates will float to meet facility needs as required.

Opportunity for first-time travelers is available.

RTO restrictions apply, ideally no more than 5 days.

Candidate must have 18 months of experience, exceptions may exist based on unit requirements.

Candidates are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Non-billable hours are limited to a specific amount for modules, with remaining hours billable.

Modules to be completed virtually on the first day.
