Job Summary
Join a mission-driven healthcare diagnostics leader as a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II, where you'll be the face of patient care for those seeking critical diagnostic services. You will draw high-quality blood samples, guide patients with empathy, and ensure specimens are processed efficiently and accurately. Your ability to operate with compassion, confidentiality, and accuracy will be key to delivering a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Collect forensic and clinical specimens with precision and professionalism
Explain blood draw procedures and reassure patients
Verify and label specimens while maintaining strict confidentiality
Maintain records and document patient interactions accurately
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Travel as needed to cover nearby Patient Service Centers or in-office sites
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure quality service

Required Experience
3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections
2+ years in Patient Service Center environments preferred
Experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., retail, healthcare, or service industries)
Keyboard / data entry skills
Nice-to-Have Experience
In-office or mobile phlebotomy coverage
Diagnostic or healthcare provider environment experience
Required Skills
Excellent venipuncture skills across diverse age groups
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work independently and travel locally
Flexible to work weekends, holidays, on-call, or overtime if needed
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
Phlebotomy certification (not required in Louisiana, but preferred)
Medical Assistant or EMT background
Communication skills with ability to reassure anxious patients
Additional Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have reliable transportation and valid drivers license
Comfortable lifting light loads (e.g., specimen kits)
