Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Wilmington, NC 28403 (North Carolina travel nursing jobs) Unit : Orthopedics - Med / Surg Tele (Medical Surgical Telemetry) Assignment Type : Travel RN contract Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks (option to extend up to 26 weeks) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1700 - $1750 Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 - 07 : 15); 36 or 48 hours / week Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Patient Ratio : 1 : 6-7 Float Requirement : Float to similar Med / Surg Tele units and alternate care locations, including main campus (15 minutes away) Call Requirement : None Orientation : 8 hours Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg or Orthopedic RN experience (Medical Surgical / Ortho experience preferred) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Compact State (required by start date) BCLS certification (required) ACLS certification (preferred) Proficiency with electronic charting; EPIC experience required Must pass EKG testing prior to start Ability to float to similar Med / Surg Tele units and alternate care locations Comfortable with nurse / patient ratios of 1 : 6-7 Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps holiday periods Candidate must live 70 miles from facility Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care on a Med / Surg Tele Orthopedics unit Manage dysrhythmias, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols Utilize EPIC for electronic documentation Activate Rapid Response Team as needed Administer blood products and manage central lines (preferred skills) Interpret dysrhythmias and manage drips (preferred skills) Float to similar Med / Surg Tele units and alternate care locations, including main campus Participate in Storm Team / Hurricane Team during inclement weather or emergencies Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this Med / Surg Tele RN job in Wilmington, North Carolina!
