Performs hospital infection control surveillance to identify actual nosocomial infections, clusters, and outbreaks; develops, reviews and implements improved patient care practices for all hospital departments as related to infection control
practices; conducts in-service education programs to maintain a high level of infection awareness and prevention and acts as liaison between the Infection Control Committee and all other departments of the hospital.
Education Requirements
4 year Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Allied Health (Required)
Master's Degree in Nursing or Allied Health (Preferred)
Experience Requirements
5 years demonstrated experience in infection prevention in various clinical specialties (Required)
1 years healthcare leadership role (project, oversight, lead) (Required)
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
Preferred Certifications Licensures : Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
