We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers flexibility in working hours and the opportunity to work remotely while delivering tax preparation services to both small businesses and individuals. Candidates must have their own computer and be proficient with tax software such as Tax Pro Connect, UltraTax, or Drake.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and small businesses in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Utilize tax preparation software, including UltraTax, Drake, or Tax Pro Connect, to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial records to identify deductions and credits.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify tax-related inquiries.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance.
• Maintain organized and confidential records for all client interactions and filings.
• Offer exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and providing clear explanations.
• Assist with identifying potential tax-saving opportunities for clients.
• Ensure timely submission of all tax documents within required deadlines.
• Work independently while adhering to company and legal standards.
• Proven experience in tax preparation for individuals and small businesses.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Tax Pro Connect, UltraTax, or Drake.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to work remotely and independently, with reliable access to a computer.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple client files and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in tax filings.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and addressing their concerns.
• Enrolled Agent certification is preferred but not required.
