Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, BLS and ARRT (or ARMRIT) certification, and proficiency with IV starts and MRI contrast administration.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Level II Trauma and teaching hospital setting
  • MRI department serves a diverse patient population including STAT studies such as stroke and spinal cord compression
  • Shift is four 10-hour nights, Tuesday through Friday from 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AM
  • Uses Siemens and Phillips MRI equipment, with experience on these platforms strongly preferred
  • EPIC EMR is used in the department
  • One on-call shift required per week, with on-call duties during one summer and one winter holiday limited to STAT cases
  • Black scrubs required
  • Responsible for performing MRI scans including emergency STAT procedures like stroke and spinal cord compression
  • Participation in holiday and weekend on-call rotation may be required
  • Free parking available
  • Pending license may be accepted at manager discretion
  • Requests for time off should be made up front
  • First-time travelers will be considered

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience required
  • Current BLS and ARRT (MRI) certification required; ARMRIT will also be considered
  • Experience with IV starts and MRI contrast administration required
  • Experience with Siemens and Phillips MRI equipment strongly preferred
  • Must provide two professional references from a supervisor within the past two years
  • Not open to local candidates within a 70 mile radius
  • License required if applicable
