Construction Services Sales Manager

We are looking for an energetic and strategic Construction Services Sales Manager to join Texas team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our customer relationships and driving our business forward. In this senior-level role, you will leverage your expertise in local dry bulk movements and materials within the Construction Services sector to lead our sales efforts, expand our customer base, and enhance both client satisfaction and business growth. You are a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in aggregate logistics or a related field. Your experience includes not only managing key accounts and driving revenue growth but also leading and developing others. You excel at building and maintaining relationships with clients, solving complex problems, and identifying opportunities for upselling and growth.   • Leadership Team : This role provides valuable insight to the Leadership Team, aiding in the planning for future growth and development of the business.
  • Operations & Safety Team : You will maintain a strong relationship with the Operations & Safety Team by providing essential job details, specifics, and insights to support their effective execution.
  • Accounting & Finance Team : Partnering with the Accounting & Finance Team, you'll handle tasks such as setting up new accounts, payment collections, and forecasting, ensuring smooth financial operations.
  • NewMile Team : Collaborate with the NewMile Team on relationship opportunities as we expand our footprint in this business line, driving growth and new business initiatives.

Your Impact

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure a unique and memorable service experience, resulting in high client satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

  • Conduct regular site visits and strategic meetings with key clients to strengthen relationships and understand their evolving needs.
  • Implement a customer feedback system to gather insights and continuously improve service delivery.
  • Develop and execute personalized client engagement plans that address specific needs and drive satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve high-priority issues swiftly, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Foster long-term partnerships by delivering consistent, high-quality service and support.
  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand service utilization and generate additional revenue, contributing to overall business growth.

  • Analyze client usage patterns and identify opportunities for upselling additional services and solutions.
  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations to showcase the value of additional offerings to existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategies for maximizing revenue from existing accounts.
  • Track and report on upselling efforts and revenue growth, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers to facilitate successful upselling and cross-selling.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to direct report, fostering professional development and high performance within the team.

  • Set clear performance goals and objectives for your direct report, ensuring alignment with overall sales strategy.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and support to help your team member achieve their goals and develop their skills.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by encouraging open communication and teamwork.
  • Implement best practices and processes to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain CRM integrity, generate regular performance reports, and explore automation tools to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the customer base and achieve sales goals within the Construction Services Marketplace.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals to potential clients, highlighting the benefits of partnering with Miles Ahead Brands.
  • Engage in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and explore new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and materials that drive business development.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance market presence and drive growth.
  • Requirements

  • Work Requirements : 70% local travel / 30% office
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 8+ years of customer service or outside sales experience preferred, particularly in aggregate sales, heavy equipment, trucking, or project management (road building, paving, bridge construction)
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a small team
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a keen sense of accuracy and process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Business
  • Ability to understand and apply sales principles, customer service practices, and basic credit concepts
  • Self-motivated and flexible, with a commitment to continuous learning and alignment with company values
