Production Chemist Supervisor
We are seeking dedicated Production Chemist Supervisors to join our team for the 2nd shift (2pm-10 : 30pm) and 3rd shift (10pm to 6 : 30am). The Production Chemist Supervisor will play a crucial role in coordinating daily activities and ensuring smooth operations in our production facility.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities with the Director of Production by receiving instructions during shift change and through emails.
- Guide the issuance of materials and oversee the cleaning of plant suites and equipment for new jobs.
- Promote safety culture and act as a secondary contact for authorities in addressing any incidents during operations.
- Ensure all team members adhere to GMP Compliance.
- Work cross-functionally with other team leads to ensure projects are completed successfully and on time.
- Collaborate with the Technical Operations group or Process Chemists to determine solutions for project issues.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for analytical samples and with Quality Assurance for the review and correction of batch records.
- Participate in the training, evaluation, and assessment of operators, ensuring compliance with GMP guidelines.
- Coach team members on performance and complete yearly performance reviews.
- Work with Chemical Engineers to produce R&D API.
Essential Skills
Strong knowledge of GMPs for APIs.Practical knowledge of FDA enforcement.Ability to operate various equipment required for executing chemical processes.Ability to oversee the execution of chemical processes by team members.Effective presentation and communication skills.Ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.Minimum of 6 years of Operations experience and 1 year of Supervisory Experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 2+ years of related experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering preferred.Computer proficiency required.Experience in a production facility preferred.Willingness to handle chemicals with engineering and safety controls.Mechanical aptitude and basic math proficiency.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Experience with SAP and pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.Work Environment
Work in a growing production facility with shifts available on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The environment involves moderate physical activity, including the ability to lift up to fifty pounds, and requires the use of a respirator. The facility includes a small production area, R&D lab connected to the QC lab, and opportunities for career advancement due to new funding and opportunities from recent acquisition.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00 / hr.
