Responsibilities : Job Summary
Endo Reprocessing Tech.
Under the direction of LVN / RN, manually cleans, reprocesses and stores equipment used during endoscopic procedures.
Patient Care Tech.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) participates as part of the team of nursing staff; delivering basic nursing care to patients of all ages, pediatric to geriatric. Performs general duties and uses the Electronic Health Record (EHR). The PCT assists in coordinating interdepartmental patient care activities. The PCT works closely with the Charge Nurse to ensure Physicians orders are completed. Knowledge of phone and nurse call system. Customer Care Service is a Priority.
Scope : Patient Care Technicians do not assess patient conditions or work outside of assigned skills.
Duties
Endo Reprocessing Tech.
Under the direction of the LVN / RN, manually cleans, reprocesses and stores equipmentAssists with endoscopic room set-upAssists with post procedural room cleaningAssists with patient greeting and in-patient transportationAssists with stocking of endoscopic room, reprocessing and storage roomsOther duties as assigned by Director of Perioperative Services, Clinical Supervisor or Charge nursePatient Care Tech.
