SUMMARY

Responsible for the direction of the residential, service coordination, and health services. Monitors and manages personnel, budgeting, and clerical support for the latter departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for directing the preparation of the annual department budgets and participates in the finalization of the budgets.
• Prepares all AIR reports, and distributes to the CDDO, KDADS, Licensing Agent, and MCO. Completes any AIR follow up requests from any of the latter entities.
• Facilitates the agency's policy and procedure committee dealing with the review and revision of all service policies once approved by COO.
• Directs the leadership positions in the implementation and monitoring of all department policies and procedures.
• Offers support, guidance, and monitoring to subordinates reporting directly to the Director of Service
• Understands and implements the regulatory standards governing KDADS, the licensing body for I / DD services; inclusive of regular requests for information to meet KDADS requirements.
• Understands and implements the standards of the three Managed Care Organizations, funding I / DD services; inclusive of regular requests for information to meet KDADS / MCO requirements.
• Serves as the agencies HIPAA Privacy Officer for client records.
• Understands and implements the CDDO contract and Affiliate Agreement; updating the Affiliate Agreement as needed or required; inclusive of regular requests for information to meet KDADS / CDDO requirements.
• Completes the signature process required for Integrated Service Plans, I / DD funding plans.
• Be available for afterhours service emergencies and agency community contact for service-related issues.
• Completes training requirements as outlined in agency policies.
• Attend meetings as required and as assigned.
• Facilitates annual licensing process; auditing or survey related processes for licensing.
