Job Description
A well-regarded firm in Dallas is seeking a Construction Contracts Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience representing owners and contractors in the drafting and negotiation of both construction and real estate contracts . The attorney will provide counsel on a wide range of industry-standard forms, including AIA contracts, EJCDC forms, ConsensusDocs, and TREC documents .
Responsibilities :
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction and real estate contracts on behalf of owners and contractors.
- Provide guidance on industry promulgated forms, including AIA, EJCDC, ConsensusDocs, and TREC documents.
- Advise clients on contract risk allocation, compliance, and project-specific considerations.
- Support clients throughout the project lifecycle with contract interpretation and dispute prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business leaders to structure contracts that align with client goals.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to the Texas Bar, in good standing.3+ years of experience handling construction and / or real estate contracts.Strong understanding of industry-standard agreements (AIA, EJCDC, ConsensusDocs, TREC).Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Compensation :
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $250,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography / market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
