POSITION SUMMARY
The teacher’s responsibility is to maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment through positive guidance so that each student can reach their full academic potential. The teacher is to plan, organize and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth of each student / resident. The teacher will be responsible for maintaining and managing the classroom, utilizing appropriate communication to assist the student / patient. Teachers should maintain a positive attitude, be energetic about subjects being taught, share a passion for learning themselves and maintain a productive working relationship with unit staff.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Education.
Teaching certificate in the state of Alabama, endorsed in the Core Academic Subjects
