About The Position

Certifications : ACLS, NRP, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate EFM

Must-Have :

Candidates must have certification as Certified Surgical Technologist.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in High Risk Obstetrics.

Candidates must possess current certification in Advanced EFM / AWHONN Intermediate EFM.

Description :

The position is for a labor and delivery registered nurse working during night shifts.

The nurse will care for patients in labor and delivery, including high-risk cases.

The unit consists of 12 LDR beds, 5 antepartum beds, 4 OBED, and 3 OR rooms.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 2 and can be 1 : 1 based on transition and acuity.

The nursing staff includes a charge nurse, RNs, certified surgical tech staff, and schedulers.

Typical procedures performed on the unit include C-sections, SVD, and twin deliveries.

The work environment values engagement and a positive team dynamic.

Self-scheduling is available to allow flexibility among team members.

The management team is highly engaged and rounds regularly on both night and weekend shifts.

The atmosphere encourages collaboration and strong relationships with physicians.

Advanced equipment, like Alaris Pumps and CADD epidural pumps, is utilized.

Nurses should bring a positive outlook and intention to all interactions and procedures.
