About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership, responsible for the financial management and strategic planning of the organization. Key responsibilities include financial analysis and forecasting, debt management, financial reporting, treasury management, and procurement. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years' experience in public sector finance, including supervisory roles, is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, CGFO, or CPFO are highly desirable. The role also requires strong leadership and management skills, the ability to build effective relationships with various stakeholders, and the capacity to communicate complex financial information clearly. In-depth knowledge of municipal finance laws, regulations, and best practices, particularly those relevant to the State of Texas, is essential. The CFO will be expected to lead from the front, with a focus on team development, collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
