Summary :

The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with Granville Health System in Oxford, NC, will provide comprehensive care to women to include gynecological exams, family planning services, preconception care, prenatal and postpartum care, childbirth, and newborn care. Granville Health System is a rural, county-based, 62-bed hospital 40-miles North of Raleigh.

Duties :

Will provide obstetric care from the new obstetric visit throughout pregnancy and including the postpartum visit as follows :

• Complete the new obstetric exam with identification of any problems complicating pregnancy or pre-existent to pregnancy.
• Initiate plan of care / diagnostic testing / interpretation of labs / treatment plan based on individual patient medical / surgical history.
• Provide patient education relating to pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care.
• Perform FHR assessment, NST interpretation, cervical exam for labor assessment.
• Provide comprehensive care and support to low-risk laboring patients, ensuring a safe and positive childbirth experience.

Will be responsible for management of gynecological patients for routine care and / or treatment of common gynecological problems including but not limited to :
