Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Polson, MT 59860 (Montana nursing jobs)

Facility Type : Critical Access Hospital, LDRP Unit

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)

Weekly Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1950–$2090

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1, 1 : 2, 1 : 4

Weekend Coverage : Required, every other weekend

Charting System : Epic EMR

Scrub Color : Any color (OR scrubs provided)

Parking : Free on-site parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Montana or Compact RN license (required for submission)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications

Proficiency with Epic EMR charting

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years

Completion of required modules prior to start date

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in all phases of obstetric care within the LDRP unit

Perform labor and delivery procedures, including circulating for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, and triage of OB patients

Utilize wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for postpartum hemorrhage management

Provide care for neonates, infants, and adults as needed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, etc.)

Assist other units with general nursing duties (answering phones, IV starts)

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
