Chief Wastewater Plant Operator

Gadsden Water is currently accepting applications for its Chief Wastewater Plant Operator position.  The salary range for this position is $64,600 – $94,400 (starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience).  The position offers Local Government Blue Cross / Blue Shield Health Insurance and “Tier I” retirement benefits through the Retirement Systems of the State of Alabama (RSA).

Applicants must possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), possess and maintain an Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) Grade III or Grade IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification, and have a minimum of six years of responsible experience in the operation, maintenance, and general repair of wastewater treatment plant facilities.  Supervisory experience is preferred.
