Job Description

Job Title : Facilities Administrator Consultant

Pay Rate : $50–$55 / hour

Duration : 6-month contract (possible extension)

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM

Work Model : Hybrid — onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays

Location : Phoenix, AZ 85004

Travel : Occasional travel to sites outside of metro area (quarterly, may require overnight)

About the Role

We’re seeking a Facilities Administrator Consultant with a strong architectural / design sensibility and experience in conceptual space planning. This role involves managing building systems, coordinating maintenance and repair across mechanical, life safety, and electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with codes, health, and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in planning and prioritizing facility projects, developing budgets, and drafting work authorizations
  • Work with architects and engineers to review designs and specifications
  • Oversee contracts and coordinate maintenance / inspection services for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, automation, etc.)
  • Respond to emergency system failures and coordinate repairs
  • Support regulatory compliance, application standards, and indoor air quality
  • Maintain budgets and financial records for buildings and sites
  • Serve as a technical resource on mechanical / electrical systems and contract requirements
  • Develop solutions for complex maintenance and construction challenges

What You’ll Bring

  • BS in Engineering, Construction, Facility Management, or a related field, plus 8 years of experience in facility / property management or construction (or equivalent via certifications such as FMP, PMP, CPMM, CFM)
  • Technical experience with mechanical, life safety, and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and maintenance practices
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specs
  • Experience with contract management and project scoping
  • Proficiency with project management software, spreadsheets, and database tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
