Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience, ARRT or RCIS certification, and strong cardiac procedural skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization labDay shift with 8-hour shifts, 5 days per weekInvolvement in invasive cardiovascular procedures including imaging, monitoring, and assisting physiciansAdult cardiac and vascular patient populationProcedures include technical support in radiological imaging and scrub assistance for cardiac / vascular interventionsUses EPIC EMR for charting and documentationOperates imaging equipment and monitors procedures in the control roomAssist physicians with radiological imaging and scrub for cardiac and vascular procedures while maintaining sterile techniqueProvide patient care and education under the direction of an RNOperate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment, and document procedures accuratelyParticipate in departmental quality initiatives and identify areas for patient safety improvementsMaintain appropriate stock levels and the cleanliness of the unitHoliday and weekend work may be required as per facility needsNo pending licenses will be considered for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n
At least 1 year of recent experience in a cardiac catheterization or invasive cardiology settingHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferredCurrent ARRT or RCIS certification, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification, or RCESCurrent BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required, both must be active with no expiration prior to startFluoroscopy certification requiredActive professional license is required if applicableExperience with EPIC charting is requiredRadiation badge must be supplied by the candidate\n Benefits\n
